Word List from an old prompt

wink, wiggle, wonder, wish, William, willow, Worchestershire, wintergreen, Wednesday, wash

William’s wife did the Wednesday wash under the willow tree and wondered if it was wise to wish for wintergreen chewing gum when there had been no electricity for ten days now.  The lights had winked twice and disappeared the night of the storm.  They drank the milk first while the refrigerator was still cold, then they drank the bottled water, using up all the ice.  Now she was here at the creek and had slaked her thirst before she began the chore of washing their clothes, but she hated the taste of wild water in her mouth.  It was almost as bad as Worchestershire Sauce straight from the bottle.   The thought of what might be in it—well she made that brain wave disintegrate with a wiggle of her shuddering shoulders.  Wintergreen gum would be just the thing to make her mouth taste normal, even though everything else about her life, at the moment, was off balance.

So much for the word list.  Not feeling very writey tonight.  Would rather be doing research and organizing my projects—from taxes to monthly writing goals and reminders in my little black page-a-day calendar book.  I am full of pizza and margaritas, and you would think my eyes would want to close, but they don’t.  I imagine if I reviewed my writing to-do list, I’d have a project at hand in a heartbeat.

The East Coast is getting used to 2006 already!
