It Has Begun

I only have 49,516 to go. :)

I have never been as unprepared as I am this year. I know I've said it before. I should be shaking in my shoes I guess. I hope my lack of fear doesn't come back to bite me.

This first week doesn't look good. I'm counting a bunch on workshop tomorrow to get things cranking. Thursday I help a friend locally with a garage sale. Friday and Saturday I'm at my sister's, Sunday we have company and Monday is booked as well. It may be Tuesday before I can devote any stretch of time to writing. Then that will be after grocery shopping, banking, library, school, etc., etc.

But I am not complaining. It really doesn't take that long to put together 1,667 words. Really it doesn't. You just can't sit there and stare at the screen like I did tonight. You have to start typing. Anything. A word is a word.

Right! A word is a word! It is all about total words and the magic that can happen or not ....

Ah, magic. It didn't happen last year, at least not the way it did with Cousins which I'm beginning to think was a fluke. :)

Though I have to say when I recently went back and read last year's I found myself thinking it can and should be salvaged. It just needs some TLC.

Here's to your words stringing themselves together in the most magic fashion!

Thanks for reading! Hugs!

Ah, the circle of life... Housework has me swamped, my faith keeps me from drowning, and my boys--including the taller, older one--keep me laughing. Somewhere in there I have to write, read, teach and learn. Which then leaves me swamped with housework....
