Yesterday--Success!

and failure. I got my 1000+ words written. The failure part came at posting time. My DSL connection had become disconnected at some point during the write and when I hit "post" I got a screen that said I had to close and restart my browser and so all but 496 of the 1000 words disappeared with the cybergremlins.

It is so horribly hot. Last night at 7 it was still 100. At 10 it had dropped all the way to 90. The only place to be, if you aren't inside with AC, is out somewhere where they do have AC or in the pool.

There is a [drum roll please for the sake of the testosterone in my house] football game on television tonight. This means dh is breaking out the grill (Yay! no heating the house cooking!)

Added to the glimmer of football season getting ever nearer, the four local Dekat men got chosen for a controlled deer hunt in November. Fall is on the horizon. And what I wouldn't give to pass by the meat counter on a regular basis at the grocery store!

So here's to some success today. I'll have to finish it up somewhere else--the rest of today's word count.
